Entrepreneurship, movility, innovation, Basque, sustainability, ...

Urratsbat is a programme to support the creation of companies by Vocational Training students promoted by the Vice-Ministry of Vocational Training of the Department of Education, Language Policy and Culture of the Basque Government and coordinated by TKNIKA.

What is Urratsbat?

Creating a company is not an easy task; being aware of this, Urratsbat aims to turn the centres into business incubators. When the projects articipating in the programme require it, the participants in the programme can use other facilities such as prototype workshops in the study phase,…

In addition, each centre has to spread the importance of the business projects (talks to present self-employment as a real way to find a way out of the labour market…) a person in charge of the dynamisation (tutoring) of the business projects will advise the promoter throughout the process of creating their company and will collaborate with them.

Who is it addressed to?

Urratsbat is addressed to:

  • Second year students of intermediate and higher level Vocational Training Centres.
  • Former students of the centre.
  • Any person related to the centre for having taken both distance learning courses and non-official training courses through this centre.

What services does it offer?

The Urratsbat programme offers:

  • In each centre, during the ongoing process, a person in charge of the programme who is always ready to collaborate with the promoter.
  • An Entrepreneur’s Office per centre. These offices will be properly equipped for the development of the tasks to be carried out in the business creation processes.
  • Possibility of using the equipment of the Centre at the moment of the start-up of the company (as long as there is the possibility of doing so in the centre and it does not impede the ordinary teaching of classes).
  • Comprehensive advisory service that helps the entrepreneur to transform their business idea into a company.

As it is an environmental education programme, its main objective is to develop knowledge, capacity, attitude, motivation and commitment to participate in the resolution of environmental problems.

Its most important features are:

    • It addresses two areas, the school itself and the municipality or county.
    • It focuses on the participation of the educational community and seeks to involve the pupils.
    • It promotes responsible and sustainable management.
    • It provokes curricular innovation.
