IKASLAN Gipuzkoa, Araba and Bizakaia occupy a preferential place in the planning designed at international level for the coming years in the ERASMUS+ programme (participation of intermediate and higher vocational training students).

But this planning not only favours the mobility of students, but tutors, educators, responsible for the different areas, will have the opportunity to know, through different projects, the degree of development of Vocational Training in other countries.

We will also encourage our centres to extend invitations to students and educators from other countries to learn about the development of vocational training in the Basque Country or to carry out work experience in companies located in our area.

The Leonardo and Erasmus programmes are international programmes. From the very beginning, the IKASLAN centres began to embark on international projects. At that time and from 1993 to 1996 it was called PETRA through the programme.

In 1996 the programme changed its name and we started the first phase LEONARDO. During this time the interest of the schools has been growing.

At the moment we have two European projects underway. In the academic year 2015/16, 183 higher education students (KA103 scholarships) and 90 middle school students (KA102 scholarships) will be able to do a 12-week internship in Europe.
